WOOD FLOOR ACCIMILATION

checkmark

Flooring products need to be in your home prior to installation for proper acclimation. This allows your flooring to warm up to your home environment and living conditions. Acclimate any laminate or engineered hardwood for at least 3 days and any solid hardwood for at least 7 days or follow manufacturer acclimation guidelines, whichever is greater. Windows and doors should be closed. Your air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems must be running for about one week prior to the installation date with temperatures between 65°F and 75°F and indoor humidity about 35% to 55%. The installation specialist will complete a moisture test prior to installing all wood flooring.
